About us

Our Mission/Vision/Values

Mission Statement: The mission of the Central Cities Association for Gifted and Talented Children (CCAGTC) is to ensure that underrepresented and marginalized children have an opportunity to maximize their full innate potential by advocating for equal access to identification and participation in high-quality educational programs and services (i.e. gifted and talented, advance placement, technology, visual and performing arts, and athletic programs) providing equity for all students.  


Vision Statement: Our vision is to build a community of support and to educate, advocate, and empower Central Cities families with the necessary tools to nurture the gifts, talents, and creativity of their children.  


Values – these values are shared by board, staff and volunteers beliefs are strongly held and   guide the organization. As an organization and as individuals, we are: 

  • Committed to achieving results in pursuit of our vision and mission
  •  We meet each youth, adult, and family where they are to meet their unique needs through care that is both culturally and linguistically aware. 
  • Equitable we form partnerships with those we serve and individualize our services to ensure that they have voice and choice in determining their desired outcome 
  • Accountable to the community, our constituents and each other • Adaptive to change, because we take the long view • We value knowledge, collaboration, respect, dignity and compassion.  


These values are core to our ability to lead a network of caregivers, individuals diagnosed, medical professionals and government to forge. change that will deliver our mission and achieve our vision.  .
